East Lake Youth Sports Association, Inc. (ELYSA) was founded in 1982 and has expanded over the years to accommodate the growth of East Lake’s youth population. ELYSA owns and operates a 27 acre sports complex, which includes six baseball fields, two football fields and three soccer fields, most of which are lighted for evening play.

What makes the ELYSA sports complex unique is the fact that it has been built and supported through 100% volunteer participation and funding. ELYSA does not have any paid employees; all activities are handled by community volunteers. Although ELYSA receives no direct government funding, we have recently been granted funds from Pinellas County Recreation Assistant Program to expand our facilities and increase our ability to serve as many young athletes as possible. ELYSA currently serves over 2,000 youths; that number is constantly growing.

Plans are being developed for a major improvement and expansion of our facilities, funded through the Pinellas County Grants. Watch for specific details as they become available.
